I am Claire, I run the wedding planning service and I will be your point of contact. I am British, and I lived for some time in Manhattan in New York City. I volunteered as a guide in Central Park and know it very well. I got married in Central Park, which is what gave me the idea to start this business.
I specialize in Central Park weddings, so you will get my personal attention. I will deal with all of your queries and organise the wedding myself. This means that you will get a completely personalised service which allows me to be flexible in providing you with a wedding ceremony that exactly meets your needs.
I have planned over three hundred weddings since I started this business in 2012. Each wedding has been different, but it's rare for me to be asked a question that I haven't been asked before, after having planned so many weddings in this incredible place. Each couple has differing needs and desires and I work with individuals to give them the wedding ceremony they want. I try to keep to a clear process for everyone, though. Here is a blog about the wedding planning process that I usually use as a guide.
I communicate with the majority of couples by email, since time differences around the world can make communication quite slow otherwise. We can also speak face to face over Skype to go over any details of your special day.
Here is a blog I wrote about why you need me to plan your Central Park wedding.
I work with several New York City registered registrars, or officiants. They all have several years of experience conducting ceremonies all over the city. I can also provide an ordained interfaith minister to conduct religious services.
If you prefer a gay officiant for your same-sex wedding then we can accommodate your wishes.
I work with the couples to write their own personalised wording for their ceremonies. I ask a series of questions that allows me to write something unique for each couple. Some choose to add a reading, which either the officiant or a guest can read, and some couples add their own personal vows, adding in their own personal, spiritual or cultural traditions.
It is a legal requirement that the couple must collect their license themselves, but I can tell you all that you need to do to get this. After the ceremony, the officiant can either send the license back to City Hall on your behalf to register the marriage and you will receive a marriage certificate in the mail, or you can take it back in person to pick it up straight away, or we can take it to City Hall in person, for a fee, to pick up the certificate on your behalf.
I work with several talented photographers who have been living and working in New York City for many years. They all love Central Park and have photographed many weddings there over the
We will provide you with high resolution digital wedding photographs which can be downloaded to your devices as part of your package. These can be taken either just within Central Park, or from you hotel for getting-ready pictures, or go out into the city to take photos there. In the past our photographers have taken couples out to Brooklyn, or Brooklyn Bridge, the Top of the Rock, Grand Central and Times Square, and they can suggest many off-the-beaten track locations, too.
We can also provide a fully edited video of the wedding ceremony for friends and family at home, or a live stream of the wedding for virtual "guests" to watch in real time!
For a personal consultation (non-binding and free of charge), please send me an email detailing your ideas and requests.
