Gapstow Bridge

Gapstow Bridge is in the south-east corner of Central Park.  It can be reached from Central Park South, but guests would need to walk around the Pond to get to the bridge.  It is a very well-known spot and quite a busy one.  

Some couples choose to get married on the bridge itself, where they have a stunning backdrop of the very high buildings of Central Park South.  This would only suit an elopement or very small group, since the bridge is very small.  Some prefer to get married next to the Pond, where there are several areas of grass that are appropriate to stand on.  Then you have the lovely Gapstow Bridge in the background from one vantage point and the trees with the high buildings of Central Park South behind from the other vantage point.

Gapstow Bridge is quite close to the south end of Central Park, so you would have to walk all the way up to the Mall to get to the middle of Central Park from here, which gives the opportunity for nice photographs along the way, but does take a while, especially with a group.  So, consider leaving the group behind (or send them on to a bar!) if the two of you want to take some portrait photos around Bethesda Terrace and Bow Bridge.
